GHOSTOWNE: Press
"With a telecaster driven twang sure to give Bruce Springsteen a run for his money (after all, he was "Born to Run"). The band possessed a raw, enthusiastic energy, preaching the gospel of freedom, love, and the joys of owning a doublewide trailer."
Sam Potter - Melting Music
Ghostowne is arguably the hardest-working-and, yes, obnoxiously self-promotional-band on the local club scene. Love 'em or hate 'em (everybody eventually picks one), After The Rain has enough sonic depth and underdog charm to maybe change a few minds-a few Coronas wouldn't hurt, either.
"Painstakingly-crafted roots-rock" may be a contradiction, but the resultant punch lifts singer-songwriter Steven wells' borrowed heartland hooks and I'm-a-desperado-of-love lyrics to downright enjoyable levels of tears-in-your-beer rock & roll.
Don't miss your chance to catch GHOSTOWNE, a local band with a growing national following. This band describes itself as a "back-to-the-basics rock n' roll band." This band strives to stick with the original ingredients of rock n' roll, through original songs that speak of their life experiences, and often strike a familiar chord of experience with the listener. This is genuine American rock n' roll designed to reintroduce a new generation to the music that changed the world. Local now, world famous soon. Don't miss them in the intimate, and inexpensive setting of the Dead Goat Saloon

GHOSTOWNE, "After the Rain" - After about the fourth song on "After the Rain," the realization sets in that Ghostowne's leader and Minnesota transplant, Steve Wells, understands the formula for creating middle America roots rock -- wall to wall guitars that churn out catchy hooks
